Appointments
Our practices have a mixture of same day and pre-bookable GP appointments.
Same day appointments are available in the mornings and afternoons.
To book a same day appointment, please call at 8:00 am when these appointments are released.
Please note that same day appointments get filled up very quickly due to high patient demand so you may not always be guaranteed an appointment especially if you call later in the day.
Pre-bookable appointments can be booked up to two weeks in advance. These can also be booked by speaking to one of our admin staff in person or by telephone.
We will always try to book you with your chosen clinician, but if you need to see a Clinician sooner, you will be allocated to the next available member of the clinical team.
Please make every effort to be on time for your appointment, as this in turn helps the medical staff in their efforts to see you on time.
Please note that if you arrive more than 10 minutes late for your appointment you will lose your slot and will need to re-book.
We try to see patients on time; however, we apologise if on occasions this is not possible.
This may be because your Clinician has had to prioritise patients who have arrived as emergencies and are too ill to be left unattended.
Please be assured that staff do everything they can to keep delays to a minimum and to keep you informed.
If You Need Help When We Are Closed
- Use NHS 111 online service (111.nhs.uk) or call 111
- 111 online service is for people aged 5 and over only. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5
- Our out of hours information
- If it’s a life-threatening emergency call 999
Appointment Reminders
Please do not ‘squeeze’ other members of your family into your appointment slot.
Your Clinician has a ten minute slot to deal with your main medical problem.
However, they may ask you to book another appointment if there are multiple issues that cannot be addressed fully in the time available.
Booking Appointments Online
NHS App
We also have online access via the NHS App. You can use the NHS app to book appointments online, order medication and access your records online. You will need to obtain a password to use the online service - please speak to a member of Admin team at reception.

Home Visit
A request for a home visit should be made only if you are housebound or too ill to attend the surgery and you are known to us. A Clinician will assess the problem over the phone and decide whether a home visit is necessary.
If this service is required, please help the practice by calling before 11:00am.
District Nurse Home Visit
Arrangements may be made for the District Nurses to call on patients who are confined to their home and who are in need of nursing care. Please let our Reception team know if this service is required.
